How do I become an Instructor?

To become an Instructor, you need to register for and attend an Instructor Workshop. Just choose your desired brand, click on “Find an Instructor Training,” and register for a workshop at the time and place that suits you.

What do you get when attending your Turbo Kick Workshop?

Prior to the workshop, you will receive access to a digital Turbo Kick Instructor manual. At the workshop, you will receive the most current Turbo Kick LIVE Round, a DVD with the latest choreography and a CD with corresponding music, so you’ll leave ready to teach your first class!

What should you bring to your Turbo Kick Instructor Workshop?

You should bring comfortable clothing, food and water, and a yoga mat. We will not have any extra mats available for use.

Once I've signed up for an Instructor Training Workshop, can I change my date?

Yes. You can reschedule with no charge if you contact us via email at certification@Beachbody.com  at least 14 days in advance of your scheduled workshop date. Rescheduling anytime within 14 days in advance of the workshop is subject to a $25 rescheduling fee. If you don’t show up for your workshop there will be a $50 no-show fee.

What if my Turbo Kick Diploma displays the wrong name?

Please call our Customer Service team at 888-247-1940 and we will take care of it for you.

When do I get my Record of Completion (e.g., certificate) from the event I attended?

Event Record of Completions are emailed approximately 4-8 weeks from the date of your training. If it has been longer than 8 weeks please contact our offices at 1-888-247-1940 Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00 AM-6:00PM PT or email us at certification@beachbody.com.

If I have a store credit (from a return or a gift certificate), how do I make a purchase?

I have questions about my charge(s) for my event registration and/or event order. Who can I contact?

What if the workshop I signed up for is cancelled? Do I get a refund or can I transfer to another workshop?

You will be automatically refunded the price of your Instructor Workshop, and you can then enroll in a new Workshop.

How do I become a PRO Team member?

Once you have completed your Instructor Workshop you can become a PRO Team member of the corresponding brand by submitting your information HERE.

Can I become a PRO Team member if I am not an Instructor?

No, you must complete a one-day Instructor Training Workshop before enrolling in PRO Team.

I attended an event, but did not receive or lost my CEC’s/CEU’s form:

If you did not receive your CEC’s/CEU’s or lost your CEC’s/CEU’s form, please contact our offices at 1-888-247-1940 or via email at certification@beachbody.com.

What if I change my mind about taking an Instructor Training?

Should you change your mind about the Instructor Training program, you may be eligible to receive a refund as follows and subject to the fees below. For all cancellations, please contact us toll-free at 1-888-247-1940, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pacific Time.

  • 100% refund of Instructor Training cost (plus applicable taxes) if you cancel your Instructor Training enrollment at least 14 days before your scheduled Workshop date.
  • If you cancel your Instructor Training enrollment fewer than 14 days from your scheduled Workshop date, there will be a $25 cancellation fee deducted from the refund.
  • If you do not show up to your scheduled Workshop, and then cancel your Instructor Training enrollment entirely, there will be a “no-show” fee of $50 deducted from the refund.
How do I renew my Instructor Status?

Your Instructor status is active for one year from the date you attend an Instructor Workshop. As long as you maintain an active PRO Team membership beyond that one-year mark, your Instructor status will automatically remain active. Should you choose to cancel your PRO Team membership after that one-year mark, your Instructor status will become inactive, and you will need to attend another Instructor  Workshop  at full price to become an active Instructor again.

Can I purchase an Instructor Training for a friend/family member/employee?

Yes. Please contact us at 1-888-247-1940 and we will assist you with your order.

I do not have a Credit Card. Can I pay for the Instructor Training with any other form of payment?

Yes. You can walk-in and pay for the training at the event with cash or check.

Is Turbo Kick Certification available in languages other than English?

At the moment, Turbo Kick is only taught in English.

Do I need to be a certified Personal Trainer or a certified Group Ex Instructor to become Turbo Kick Certified?

No, you are not required to be a Certified Personal Trainer (“CPT”) or Certified Group Ex Instructor to get Turbo Kick Certified.

Why is the VIP program now being called PRO Team?

In the past, we have had VIP for PiYo and Turbo Kick Instructors, and PRO Team for P90X Trainers and INSANITY Instructors. To standardize our programs, all Beachbody LIVE continuity programs will now be named “PRO Team.” Only the name will change. The benefits and perks will remain the same.

Why has the active Instructor term been changed to one year?

Industry standards now trend toward a one-year term. We also want to ensure that all Beachbody LIVE Instructors are current with our programs, choreography, and music, thereby providing the best experience for their classes. Maintaining an active PRO Team membership keeps your status current and keeps you up-to-date with the latest routines.

I became an Instructor under different Terms & Conditions. Will those T&C be honored?

Absolutely. If you attended a workshop in 2014, the T&C you agreed to at the time will still be honored for the duration of your term. Upon expiration of your current term, you will need to agree to the new T&C before moving forward.

Can I put my PRO Team membership on hold?

Unfortunately, our systems do not allow for PRO Team memberships to be placed on hold. We strongly suggest you keep your PRO Team membership active so that you continue to receive the latest Rounds with new choreography and music. Even if you are taking a break from teaching, this will provide more material for you to teach at a later time!

What happens if my Instructor status expires?

If your Instructor status expires, you will need to attend another workshop in order to become an active Instructor again. Or, you can reactivate your status by joining PRO Team prior to when your active status expires.

Do I get Continuing Education Credits (CECs) for being a PRO Team member?

At this time, you will only get CECs for attending an Instructor Training Workshop. PRO Team is currently not eligible for any CECs. You will receive the following CECs for attending the Turbo Kick LIVE Workshop:

  • 0.7 ACE
  • 0.7 NASM
  • 8 AFAA
  • 4 canfitpro FIS
How do I know if my Instructor status is active?

Your Instructor status is active for one year from the date on your diploma, but remains active past this point if you are on PRO Team. If you have any questions, please call Customer Service at 1 (888) 247-1940 Monday through Friday, 6 AM – 6 PM.

Who should I contact if I have specific questions about my account?

Does it matter when I join PRO Team?

You are free to join PRO Team at any time after you complete the Instructor Training Workshop. We recommend that you do so at your Instructor Training Workshop so you don’t miss any Rounds, music, discounts, and benefits of being an Instructor. However, you must join PRO Team before your one-year term ends or your Instructor status will expire after one year. Staying an active PRO Team member keeps your Instructor status active and keeps you current with the latest routines, music, and more.

Why am I no longer able to renew my Turbo Kick Instructor status online?

Due to our policy changes, once your active Instructor status expires you will need to join PRO Team before your term expires to stay current. Otherwise you will have to attend another Instructor Training Workshop.

Why doesn't my diploma have an expiration date?

All Turbo Kick Instructors will have different expiration dates based on their decision whether to join PRO Team or not. You are able to check your Instructor status at any time by logging in to your account online. You will be emailed a diploma upon completing your Instructor Workshop. You can log in to your PRO Team portal to view your Instructor status and expiration date.

Will I receive a new diploma if I reactivate or maintain my active Instructor status by joining PRO Team?

No, you will not receive a new diploma for joining or staying on PRO Team. You will only receive a new diploma if you attend another Instructor Workshop.
